DDR2 Memory: Outperforming the DDR1 Memory
Articles May 25th, 2009
All of the people are interested in getting the high performance computer which is based on the swift technology. For this reason, people are in search of the wide range of peripherals to achieve the great performance. Nowadays manufacturers are also including the large RAM and speed CPU processors. This has been achieved by the replacement of DDR1 memory with the DDR2 Memory from 2004.
Functioning of DD2 Memory: -
DDR2 Memory has a different physical nature as compared to the DDR1. It can’t be used with the systems which are configured with DDR1 Slots as the numbers of pins are different in both the cases. In case of DDR1 there are 180 pins in the slot while DDR2 has 240 slot pins. Also the speed of the DDR2 is very much higher as compared to the DDR1 Memory. DDR2 memory can function at much higher speed and can adapt itself to high rate of bandwidth and hence assists the user in getting the fast internet browsing.
DDR2 Memory is also considered to be the energy saving RAM. It has enhanced thermal performance which keeps the system cool for a longer period of time.
